 WPtHA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The heart of the Wisconsin Pinto Horse Association beats strong thanks to our amazing Board of Directors. A group of dedicated volunteers who love Pinto horses (and a little organized chaos) just as much as you do!

You’ve probably seen them in action,  running around the showgrounds with walkie-talkies in hand, hauling bags of shavings, managing gates, or sprinting across the arena to reset ground poles before the next class starts. They’re the friendly faces behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly. Often with a smile, a cup of coffee, and maybe a little dust on their boots.

Each board member gives their time, energy, and heart to keeping our shows fun, welcoming, and full of that signature Wisconsin Pinto spirit. They’re exhibitors, parents, trainers, and horse lovers who know exactly what it’s like to be in the ring — and who work hard to make sure everyone has just as much fun as they do.

Our Board is 100% volunteer-run, united by one goal: to make every exhibitor, family member, and spectator feel like part of the Wisconsin Pinto Family. Whether it’s your first show or your fiftieth, we want you to feel right at home.

Have a question, suggestion, or just want to say hi?
👉 Reach out to any of our Board members anytime! We’re always happy to help, listen, and keep making our Pinto community the best it can be.

Because at the end of the day — we’re more than a horse show community…
We’re family (just with a little more horse hair).

Hailing from the friendly town of New Richmond, Wisconsin, Tina Langness leads the Wisconsin Pinto Horse Association with unmatched experience, enthusiasm, and heart.

With over 45 years in the horse industry, Tina has trained and shown some of the most exceptional horses in the country — and built lifelong friendships along the way. She proudly holds multiple judges’ cards and has earned more World, National, and Regional Championships than you can count — a true reflection of her dedication, knowledge, and love for the Pinto breed. 🏆🐴

Tina is known for cheering on all equines in the Pinto industry, always offering encouragement and support to fellow exhibitors and newcomers alike. Her compassionate leadership keeps Wisconsin Pinto strong, welcoming, and full of the camaraderie that makes our association so special.

“It’s all about great horses, great friendships, and plenty of fun along the way!” 💫

Kathy Kaprelian is one of the longest-standing and most dedicated members of the Wisconsin Pinto Horse Association Board! Her commitment, enthusiasm, and love for the Pinto family have helped shape our club through the years.

You’ll often spot Kathy in the arena with her beloved miniature horses, Cisco and Daisy — and if there’s a costume class or mini barrel race, she’s sure to bring her signature flair and sparkle!

Kathy’s favorite Pinto memory? “Winning the saddle at Pinto World in 2017 with my Pleasure/Saddle Horse, Z.”

When asked what keeps her coming back, Kathy says it’s all about the people: “I love showing because of the family — it’s a great group of friends with like minds who share our passion.”

Hailing from beautiful Chetek, Wisconsin, Kim Ziegler brings a lifetime of equestrian experience and passion to the Wisconsin Pinto Horse Association. As our dedicated Secretary, Kim keeps things organized, running smoothly, and always full of heart!

With over 40 years of experience owning, breeding, training, and showing horses, Kim’s knowledge is second to none. She also proudly holds judge’s cards with Pinto and multiple other breeds, making her an invaluable resource to our members and exhibitors alike.

Kim’s favorite Pinto memory?

“My first time trotting down the center of the Ford Arena at the Pinto World Show, followed by the awards that we won!!” 🏆✨

Brenda Wolfe

Board Member / MWHF Lead

Brenda resides in Dousman, WI with her husband, Ray, and their son, Ryan, on a small hobby farm known as Aloha Acres. With more than five decades of horse ownership experience, Brenda’s passion has taken her through many facets of the equine world — from fitting and showing AQHA halter horses, to competing on the B circuit in the hunter ring, to enjoying the “un-blinged” side of life showing ARHA ranch horses. Most recently, her focus has turned to their stock-type AMHR/Pinto miniature horses.

Brenda’s “day job” is as a Quality Management Instructor in the School of Business at Waukesha County Technical College. Brenda is also an active volunteer and leader in her community. She serves as a 4-H Horse Project Leader for the Waukesha County 4-H Horse Association and is the head coach for the Kettle Moraine Equestrian Team (WIHA). On the WI Pinto Board, Brenda coordinates the Pinto breed demonstration at the Midwest Horse Fair each year — a highlight to kick off the “show” season.

The WI Pinto organization has provided Brenda’s family with countless wonderful memories. Ryan began showing his Pinto stock pony at just five years old, and nearly 15 years later, he continues to compete — often sharing the show pen with his Grandma Patti. For the family, WI Pinto truly is a family affair, and they cherish the quality time they spend together in and out of the show ring.

Ashleigh Carlson serves as a WPtHA Board Member and works closely with the Youth Board. Having shown with numerous breeds and associations over the years, Ashleigh and her family found that Wisconsin Pinto truly feels like home.

She owns and operates a full-time training and lesson facility with a strong emphasis on youth riders and actively brings a large group of enthusiastic young exhibitors to WPtHA shows each year. When she’s not in the arena, Ashleigh stays busy as a mom of two and as the coach of her local equestrian team — inspiring the next generation to love horses and showing as much as she does.

Hannah Heil

Board Member / Marketing

Hannah Heil proudly serves as Wisconsin Pinto’s Lead for Marketing  which basically means she’s the one behind all the crazy ideas, bright colors, and “Ope, did ya see that?!” posts.

A true believer that good things come in small packages, Hannah loves promoting the joy of showing miniature horses and ponies in Pinto. In 2025, her little horse Tater trotted his way into the Pinto Hall of Fame. You’ll also spot her husband, Adam, in the show ring with his mini mare Violet, proving it’s definitely a family affair.

When she’s not wrangling ponies or social media posts, Hannah’s probably dreaming up the next fun way to make Wisconsin Pinto shine (and sparkle… lots of sparkle).
